In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program specifically for high school students grades 10-12, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. The National Art Honor Society’s mission: • is to aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
AbstractWHY?As a teacher, I will try to do anything to build self-efficacy for my students. WHAT?Will bringing NAHS to Solomon USD #393 help promote success for my students?WHO?The subjects will be my 10th, 11th, and 12th grade art students who meet the requirements to be inducted into NAHS.HOW? Students will be given a questionaire as well as participate in an open forum to discuss if the implementation of NAHS helped promote student self efficacy.

Seniors: eligible to receive the Charles M. Robertson Memorial Scholarship - a special four-year scholarship to Pratt's School of Art and Design in New York. NAHS News - encouraging students to submit articles and art work for publications twice a year.
