MiRS Real-time Data Quality Monitoring MIRS Meeting December 12, 2008 K. Garrett, S.-A. Boukabara and W. Chen
Overview • Data Quality Monitoring extended beyond NeDT monitoring • MiRS now computes the convergence rate, and percentage of QC flags equal to 0, 1, and 2 • Metrics are calculated for each orbit processed by MIRS • ASCII files are stored in data/TestbedData/PerfsMonitoring/sensor_id/orbitmon • IDL program to read the files and create a timeseries of above parameters for monitoring on MiRS website.
NeDT Monitoring Time-series of NeDT for NOAA-18 AMSUA channels 1 and 7. Similar plots are replicated for other channels/sensors.
Convergence Rate and QC Monitoring QC of MIRS products. Metrics are calculated for each orbit processed daily. Thresholds are denoted by dashed lines.
Summary • Time-series of NeDT, Convergence Rate and QC are generated on a daily basis to include newly processed data • If threshold criterion are exceeded, the MIRS team is notified by automated message. http://mirs.nesdis.noaa.gov
