COMPANY INTRODUCTION : • Ho-Star Marine, has been founded since 2017 in Hong Kong and 2018 in Philippines, our professional expertise's is to gather all the knowledge of superintendents, buyers and suppliers in marine industry. • In lieu of the coming IMO regulation against Low Sulfur control, Ho-Star Marine has gathered the professionals in Philippines for providing the one-stop-shop service for FOT cleaning.

  3. IMO Regulation on low sulfur, effective on 1st of January, 2020 • IMO set “1st of January 2020” as entry-into-force date of the Regulation 14.1.3 of MARPOL Annex VI. The regulation sets a 0.50% m/m maximum limit of the Sulphur content of any fuel oil used onboard ships outside ECA-SOx from 1st January 2020, down from 3.50% m/m currently. Almost every ships will be affected by the regulation regardless of age and have to use fuels with the Sulphur content not exceeding the capping. • The “International Maritime Organization IMO” has adopted the “carriage ban” rule, which will make it an offense as of March 1, 2020, for ships to carry fuel that contains sulfur content higher than 0.5%, unless the ship has a scrubber.
