Christmas Hope from —Andy Sharples
It’s the most wonderful time of the year because we have made a point of giving and of enjoying each other's company.
“It’s more blessed to give than to receive.”(Acts 20:35) Dear friends, let us love one another, because a love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.”(1 John 4:7)
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:23
For God so loved the Coke-drinking, Christ-ignoring world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (Adapting John 3:16)
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14
There’s something about extravagant generosity that deeply moves us.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:10-11)
Isaiah 9:2,6-7 by Kara Beth McClure
He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20
