REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH WORD • For EACH word you must give: • Word & Definition • 2 synonyms • 6 word associations • You may only use one antonym • They must be displayed on a powerpoint or iMovie project • Powerpoint– explain to the class • Imovie– narrate or add sound so you can just play it
WHAT IS A WORD ASSOCIATION? • Word association: • Any phrase that makes sense in helping to understand the word • Any person/event/object that you associate with the word’s meaning (put a brief explanation with it) • Mnemonic Device (helps you remember it) • WORD: Athletic • Phrase– athletic basketball player • Person/Event/Object– Mia Hamm, Rondo • Mnemonic Device - ??
