  6. RIC Nairobi Calibrates instruments for national and sub regional use. It also manufactures instruments such as rain gauges and Stevenson screens Through the cost sharing effort of Finland VCP (through WMO) and the Government of Kenya , KMD will modernize the WMO Regional Instrument Centre (RIC) by installing the following:  Chamber for Calibration of humidity and temperature;  Stirred liquid oil bath for the calibration of thermometers and AWS temperature sensors;  Resistance measuring bridge for the calibration of AWS temperature sensors and references;  Wind Tunnel for calibration of wind instruments.   7. 3 CENTRES NORMINATED AS DCPCs RTH RSMC RIC KMD IMIS In the process of acquiring an Integrated Meteorological Information System - IMIS Dedicated to ingest, manage, archive, give on-line access and process any kind of Meteorological data WIS compliant Implementation contract awarded Funds allocated by Kenya Government in the financial year 2009/2010 To be implemented once funds are released ENCHANCED CLIMSOFT CAPABILITY Capability to produce metadata, data inventories and many other data products in XML format WIS ACTIVITIES IN KMD CBS ET-WISC
