  2. Facts about Stephen Hawking • Stephen Hawking was born on January 8th, 1942, in Oxford, England. He attended University College at Oxford. He was born exactly 300 years after Galileo.

  3. What did he study? • Stephen Hawking studied physics. He went into school wanting to study mathematics, but it wasn’t available, so he ended up studying physics.His fields aretheoretical cosmology and quantum gravity.

  4. Where did he live and grow up? • Stephen Hawking grew up in the south of England.

  5. How did he get into science? • He got into science by accident. He was prepared to go to college to study mathematics, but it was unavailable, so he ended up taking physics, and loved it.
