  3. Noise pollution is very common in urbanised areas. Average noise levels in most cities are around 65 decibals.

  4. Causes of noise pollution • Traffic • Cars produce a lot of noise when travelling – 60 to 90 decibals • MRT entering a tunnel – 90 decibals • Aircraft taking off – 120 decibals.

  5. Causes of noise pollution • Construction and other human activities • Drilling, piling, knocking… • Use of heavy machinery during construction work contribute to noise pollution. • Taking loudly is also a form of noise pollution

  6. Impact of noise pollution • Damage our hearing • Increase our heart rate, anxiety and stress level • Poor concentration
