  3. Rubric • 15=excellent 10= average 5= poor: • writing points: Your written responses to the questions are clear, detailed, and helpful. Your grammar is strong, but it does not have to be perfect. You write on the actual rough draft to improve errors. • 15=excellent 10= average 5= poor: • speaking points: You work hard to explain your opinion of the paper in ENGLISH. You offer good advice to help your partner improve their story.

Give an example. • What is the theme of the story? • What is the introduction, rising action, climax and conclusion? • Does the writer use punctuation correctly for the 6 sentences of dialogue? • Does the writer use paragraphs correctly? If not, show them on the paper where to add them. • Does the writer “SHOW, NOT TELL” the actions and events in the story? Give an example. • What can the writer do to improve the story? Remember, the more advice you give, the better the story will be. • Go through the story and WRITE corrections and suggestions on the paper.
