PROBLEM STATEMENT Why Clusters ? Why PS3 ? Why Cluster PS3's ? How can we combine game systems to build super-computers ? Why do we need this ?
PROPOSED SOLUTION What do we need to Cluster PS3s Linux (Which Version?) Software / Hardware needed Assembly Testing & troubleshooting Verifying results
RESULTS • Sony is serious about Linux and PowerPC • Works well • 10,000 PS3s could theoretically be fastest computer in the world
CONCLUSIONS Great learning experience with Linux and Clustering outside the box The web is a great resource for learning and troubleshooting Linux Clustering Video games are requiring huge processing power which can be very useful in other areas of computing
