Artículos • “The” in English is called a definite article • There are four ways to say “the” in Spanish.
Singular “the” • Use “el” for masc. nouns • Use “la” for fem. nouns • Examples: • el muchacho la muchacha • el amigo la amiga • el curso la escuela
Plural “the” • When the noun is plural in Spanish, the article must also be plural. • The plural of “el” is “los” • The plural of “la” is “las” • Examples: • Losmuchachos las muchachas • Los amigos lasamigas
