WILMINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY TEEN LOUNGE YOUTH SERVICES DELAWARE COLLECTION • The Wilmington Public Library was incorporated as a member’s subscription library in 1788. In 1894 the library was converted to a free public library. In 1915 Pierre S. duPont purchased the property at 10th and Market Streets and the current library building was dedicated in 1922. • The Library displays more than 100,000 items.
