HC orientada a los problemas. • 1986: Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de los EEUU. Sistema UMLS. • 1989: Shared Medical Systems implanta la primera HCD.

La Rioja: geografía y demografía • La Rioja es una de las Comunidades más pequeñas de España, con 5.027,91 kilómetros cuadrados de superficie. • Población total de ±315.000 habitantes: 52% varones y 48% mujeres, de los que 49% viven en la capital, en Logroño. • 174 municipios que se distribuyen en nueve comarcas. Más de 100 municipios tienen menos de 100 habitantes. • Población concentrada en Capital Logroño y Cabeceras de Comarca. • Entre 30 y 40 años: mayor densidad de población (17 %).
