Why are Family Advisory Councils important to the work you do? • Family Advisory Councils are the perfect forum for an exchange of ideas in a safe and objective setting • Partnering with your consumer in the current healthcare climate is vital to the survival of organizations.
Partnership and Engagement with your Family Advisory Council • Family Advisory Councils can provide: • An effective mechanism for receiving and responding to consumer input • Efficient planning to ensure that services really meet consumer needs and priorities • Offers a forum for developing creative, cost-effective solutions to problems and challenges faced by the program or organization • Supplies a link between the program, its surrounding community and community groups
