WHAT DO I CHECK WHEN I AM VIEWING A PROPERTY? Condition of the property Furniture is fire retardant Fire safety features , e.g. smoke detectors, fire alarms and fire extinguishers Electrical fittings correctly installed, e.g. no loose wires or faulty plugs All gas appliances have a Gas Safety Certificate issued by a Registered Engineer.

MAIN CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS • Pay the rent on time • Pay all the utility accounts • Keep the property clean and in good condition 4. Don’t cause a noise nuisance to your neighbours • Report any repairs to the landlord or his agent immediately 6. Hand the property back in the same condition as when you moved in
