1. All P.E. students must remain with their teacher during class. • 2. The Locker rooms will be locked after the tardy bell. Late students may not enter or dress. • 3. Students must remain in assigned areas until released by teacher (including non-suits). • 4. Students are responsible for equipment used during class. Students will be charged for any damaged equipment. • 5. Students who willfully threaten the health or safety of another student or teacher will be removed from the activity and referred immediately to the VP’s office • 6. All P.E. students will be released to their next class from the RED LINE. General Information
1. Points are earned on a daily basis. Extra Credit by teacher appointment only • 2. All students will dress out in appropriate P.E. attire and participate on a daily basis. Non-compliance will result in disciplinary action and in the lowering of a grade. • 3. Doctorsnote is accepted for duration of the condition. Work must be made up. Students should consult their teacher for an acceptable assignment. • 4. Parent note is acceptable for a 3 day maximum per quarter (9-10 weeks), after 3 days a Doctors note is required. • 5. Excused absences must be made up. Students may not make up non-suits or Unexcused absences. • 6. In the event of lost P.E. clothes, there will be a 3 day grace period to replace them. Grading Policy
1. Centennial P.E. uniform (Gray shirt, Black shorts) available in student store. • 2. Plain (solid) Red, white, Gray, or Black shirt and shorts • 3. No logo other than Centennial is acceptable. • 4. Swimsuits must be worn in all swimming classes. Girls wear a modest suit. Boys board shorts are ok. All shorts must be hemmed. No P.E. shorts or cut-offs are allowed. Goggles and swim caps are ok. • 5. All P.E. clothes should be labeled with students name. • 6. Students must provide their own towel and personal items • 7. Sweats/sweat suits (school colors) may be worn over P.E. clothes. • 8. Athletic/sport shoes must be worn in ALL P.E. classes • 9. NO LEAVING SCHOOL CLOTHES ON UNDER P.E. CLOTHES! Appropriate P.E. Attire
“NO” • Hats, Bandanas, Rags, Sunglasses, Headbands, Glass Containers, Food, Drinks, Weapons (of any kind), Electric Devices (Cell Phones, Radios, Video Games, MP3’s, Headphones), Fighting, Biting, Scratching, Kicking, Hitting, Eye Gouging, Fish Hooking, Throwing Rocks, Throwing rubber pellets, Smoking, Drugs, Candy, Gum, Wearing Others PE clothes, Saggy Pants, Stealing, Murderball “NO” SECTION
1. Small lockers for P.E. Clothes only! • 2. Combination locks only, no key locks • 3. Students must purchase own lock • 4. No glass containers, food or drinks in the locker rooms • 5. Clean and clear lockers every Friday and wash clothes • 6. Locker room is closed during lunch • 7. Always enter and exit locker room through doors facing football field • 8. The hallway between the locker room and gym is off limits • 9. Non-suits are not allowed in the locker room • 10. P.E. Department is not responsible for lost or stolen property • 11. No jewelry is to be worn during activities • 12. After school hours stay out of the locker room, foyer, hallway or gym without supervision • 13. No sharing lockers, everyone needs their own lock Locker Room/Locks/Lockers
No Food or Drinks • No Sunflower Seeds • No Chewing Gum • No Smoking or Tobacco • No Metal Cleats • No Colored or Flavored Drinks (ie. Sports Drinks) • No Throwing Rubber Pellets Track and Field Rules
1. Students should be ready and on roll call numbers when the teacher is ready • 2. Students not reporting to roll call will be marked Truant • 3. See instructor for make up work Attendance
1. A citizenship/behavior grade will be given every 9 weeks • 2. The grade will be determined by the students attitude, cooperation, and behavior in class Citizenship/Behavior
