  2. Who are they ? • The ACMA stands for The Australian Communications and Media Authority. They are a statutory authority within the federal government portfolio of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.

  3. What do they done? • The ACMA has many roles which include regulating Broadcasting, Radio Communications and Telecommunication and to represent Australian interests in international communications matters. They also in regulationg Internet content standards.

  4. How much power do they have and how do they protect the public ? • The ACMA have a lot of power the ACMA work within the communications industry, consumers and other stakeholders to achieve active self and co-regulation by industry, licences and companies, while ensuring compliance with licence conditions, codes and standards. Through these tasks they are protecting the public from theft, communication failure, fraud and much more

  5. Are they government regulated or self regulated? • The ACMA is a Government regulated agency • ACMA is governed by an Authority comprised of the Chair, the Deputy Chair, one full-time member, four part-time members and one part-time associate member.
