Emergency Medical Services Domain Analysis Model Clinical Interoperability Council AbdulMalik Shakir 3/10, have volunteer coverage Purpose: - Produce a EMS Domain Analysis Model based primarily upon the content of the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) Specification Status: -Completed modeling of NEMSIS v2 data dictionary What’s Next: - Update EMS DAM with NEMSIS v3 revisions and ballot the DAM as an HL7 informative specification Of Note: - EMS DAM will be used to derive DSTU and Normative EMS data exchange specifications abdulmalik@shakirconsulting.com; (909) 596-6790

Registry Enhancements for Social Services Patient Administration Work Group Joy Kuhl 8/10 Purpose: - Enhance person-level messages Status: - Proposed enhancements to existing person registry - Seeking project approval this week What’s Next: - Work toward Jan 2010 ballot as draft for comment Of Note: - Will add a person's current living situation (household membership, information on other household members), data about after school care (e.g. 3 afternoons per week); Based on extensive child healthcare use case brought forward by HL7 Netherlands normand@daoustassociates.com; (617) 491-7424
Immunization DSTURelease 2 Public Health and Emergency Response Work Group Joy Kuhl 9/10, have volunteer coverage Purpose: - Extend the current set of HL7 V3 messaging to include support for the querying of a patient’s immunization status Status: - Currently being balloted and reconciled. - Likelihood of achieving Draft Standard for Trial Use designation is high What’s Next: - If all negative comments can be resolved, material will be published as DSTU Of Note: - This adds material to the current set of immunization-related HL7 V3 messaging rbsavage@cdc.gov; (608) 233-6129
