Agriculture Load Management Schemes • Total No of villages in Maharashtra : 41,095 • Agriculture Dominated Villages : 33139 • Villages covered under Single Phasing : 15,482 • Villages covered under Gaothan Feeder Separation Scheme : 17,657
Gaothan Feeder Separation and Single phasing Scheme Benefits: To minimize unrest amongst rural consumers Better demand side management. Reduction in T & D losses. Improvement in infrastructure. Achievement: Villages benefited – 27,362 Load Management achieved - 4984 MW. Expenditure incurred – Rs.2429 Cr. Because of this schemes, demand is controlled and Maharashtra is as good as Load Shedding free from January 2011 to Sept 2011.
