  4. Kami, Fortunes, and Ancestors • The spirits watch over you as you journey in a deadly land

  5. Romanticized Samurai Drama • You are a power samurai of Significance • Words are as deadly as a blade • You serve a lord • Bushido guides you or you follow Fu Leng • The art and style is heavily influenced by Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese mythos and history. • They can be however the players imagine it • Imagine Feudal Japan

Clans • Crab - Masters of siege and shadowlands • Crane – Masters of court affairs • Dragon – Mystical hermits daisho specialist • Lion – Warmongers and imperial army • Mantis – Pirates and sailors of Rokugan • Phoenix – Magical specialty and libraries • Scorpion – Subterfuge and stealing • Unicorn – Mounted combative barbarians • Spider – Evil clan wants to destroy empire

  8. Classes • Each Clan has four schools • Each school for each clan teaches a new class • No two school and clan combinations will be the same • Diversity for characters through ancestry and flaws and advantages and large skill system

  9. Bushi • Weapon specialist samurai who specializes in taking and dealing damage, using techniques centered around the art of weapon styles

  10. Shugenja • Spellcasters who call upon the kami to give them powers of the elements around them. Deals damage in copious amounts no armor and easily felled in melee

  11. Courtier • A character that uses words and documents to earn his place via political power or use of favors.

  12. 4th School • Each clan has an extra school which can enhance the flavor of the clan ex. Monks, scouts, engineers, scholars, and bounty hunters each is different.
