  2. 重音、語調的教學方式 1.聽與說(Listen and repeat): individual/pair work/group work 2.善用線條及圖形 線條 Ex: What’s your name? Mary was hungry, sleepy and tired. 圖形 Ex: calendar/banana/engineer 3.利用掌聲輕重,或以橡皮筋顯示重音母音較長的觀念與節奏感 Ex: chat/teacher/umbrella/intonation 4.視覺化 What’s your name? (sit down) Are you a nurse? (stand up) 5.強化與複習  (Playing and Learning)準備多張單字卡、由學  生尋找重音相同者為一組。 ※發音正確漂亮語調自然優美

  5. 單字重音 Stress 1. 「雙音節」的單字,同時當名詞與動詞使用時:名詞重音多半落在第一音節;當動詞時種因則多半落再第二音節。 Ex: present, record, permit, increase, contest, digest…. 2. 「多音節」的單字的主重音,會落在第二音節;特以-ate, -ous為結尾的單字。 Ex: cooperate, investigate, mysterious。 3. 字尾-ic, -ical, -ial, -tion, -ity,重音通常落在前一音節。 Ex: scientific, political, accidental, financial , personality, demonstration.

  6. 字群(片語)重音 1.所有格+名詞,重音在名詞上。 My birthday, their ideas, Tom’s bike. 2.介系詞+名詞,重音在名詞上。 at work, in time, by taxi, for Judy 3.形容詞+名詞,重音在名詞上。 good movie, blue umbrella, rich men, hard worker. 4.副詞+動詞,重音在動詞上。 always listen, usually come, sometimes cooks 5.動詞+副詞,重音在副詞上。  Look up, get in, keep up with 6.動詞+介介詞,重音在副詞上。 Look at, think of, laugh at, ask for..

  7. 句子重音(節奏感)Rhythm 例句:The boyis playingbaseball with his friends. • Content words: boy, playing, baseball, friends. • Function words: the, is, with, his. 一般而言,在讀句子時,重音大致都放在「有意義的單字」上;至於「功能性單字」則無重音。 Ex: I believethat people are basicallygood. EX: Cathy is a college student. ※「有意義的單字」:多為名詞、動詞、形容詞 副詞、指示代名詞、或疑問詞。

  8. 語調 Intonation • 1. 降調 (Falling intonation) • The weather is nice for today. • ‘Why did you do something like that? • Shut the window, please. • 2.升調 (Rising intonation) • Do you speak Engish? • He speaks German, doesn’t he? • You are an American, aren’t you? • 3.先升後降 (Rising-falling intonation) • Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. • Is that a pen or a pencil? • They did, but we didn’t.
