Typical Business Analyst Role Description Location – NJ Duration – 6 months DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION • Liaison with the business teams to gather complete requirements • Produce business specification documents and obtain stakeholders signoff, identify gaps and risks and resolve issues • Work with the development teams to ensure specifications are clearly understood and implemented • Document existing applications and process workflow • Coordinate business/development team meetings and record minutes of meetings • Track project progress and produce weekly status report on time • Coordinate QA, UAT testing, signoff, and application deployment SKILLS REQUIRED • Deep knowledge of Asset Management industry, especially middle office operation • Solid understand of trading lifecycle, trade settlement process, & security reference data • Requirements gathering, specification writing • Working in a structured environment with development, QA, and Production • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Release Management • Proficiency with Microsoft Project Management tools (MS Project, Visio, MS Office) • Must be team player and self-motivated, work independently with minimum direction

What is a Business Analyst • Business Analysts are responsible for identifying the business needs of their clients and stakeholders to help determine solutions to business problems. • The Business Analyst is responsible for requirements development and requirements management. Specifically, the Business Analyst elicits, analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Solutions are not predetermined by the Business Analyst, but are driven solely by the requirements of the business.
