  2. MEANING • Use the frequency adverbs (FA) to talk about how often someone does something. • Frequency adverbs (FA) can be a word that expresses frequency or an adverbial phrase.

  3. LOCATION OF FREQUENCY ADVERBS • Place FA before the verb • + Verb + complement • Place FA after the verb •  + Verb + +complement • Placed either at the beginning or at the end of the sentence

  4. FREQUENCY ADVERBS BEFORE VERBS + Verb + Complement • Place FA before the verb • + Verb + complement • Siempre Always • Rara vez  rarely • Nunca  Never • Example • Yosiemprehablo español

  5. FREQUENCY ADVERBS AFTER THE VERB  + Verb + + Complement • Place FA after the verb •  + Verb + +complement • Mucho  a lot • Poco  little • Example • Yo hablomuchoespañol

  6. FREQUENCY ADVERBSEither before or after the sentence FA: • Todos los días*Every day* • A veces sometimes • De vez en cuando often *You also can change this for: los meses, los años, los veranos, etc.
