  2. Lesson One Reflection • We did really well yesterday!!! • So far, we have: • Looked at a book with many shapes • Watched three video clips about shapes • Made shapes with geoboards • Made shape pictures • Taken digital pictures of circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles

  4. Today’s Activities Download & Save Our Pictures • Create Our Presentations • Practice Our Presentations • Give & Watch Presentations • Score Our Classmates

  5. Project Expectations • Know what is needed for final product • Organize your group • Manage time wisely • Learn the differences between circles, squares, rectangles & triangles • Find shapes in the real world

  6. Downloading and Saving Photos • Find the folder on your computer desktop that looks like this:

  7. Downloading and Saving Photos • Connect the camera to the computer with the USB cable • Download to the “Digital Shape Pictures” file • When done: • Unplug the camera • Open the file to make sure your pictures are there • Bring camera to the teacher

  8. Requirements for Presentations • Organization: Using Your Storyboard • Title Slide • Circles • Squares • Rectangles • Triangles • ‘What We Learned’

  9. Requirements for Presentations • Content: What Goes on Each Slide • Title Slide • Title of Presentation • Team Member Names • Shape Slides • Description of Where Each Shape Was Found • ‘What We Learned’ Slide • 2 or more things that your team learned about shapes

  10. Requirements for Presentations • Visuals: How Each Slide Should Look • At least 2 shape photos on each slide • Can add clip art or animated clip art • Mechanics: Editing and Revising • Capitalization • Spelling • Grammar

  11. Requirements for Presentations • Delivery • Each teammate needs a turn to speak • When speaking, face the audience and speak loud enough for all to hear

  12. Evaluating Your Classmates • Presentation Rubric – Team Activity • Sit quietly & listen to the group presenting • Work with your team to complete the Presentation Rubric Form • Be fair – Let all of your team members have a say in what you choose as a score
