MSc • Level and demands • a graduate or have successfully completed a professional training course • two years' professional work experience in the health service or a health-related field • identify a work based problem • be able to combine intensive classroom learning with the application of the principles and practices of evidence-based health care within the work place • have a good working knowledge of email, internet, word processing and Windows applications (for communications with course members, course team and administration) • show evidence of the ability to commit time to study and an employer's commitment to make time available to study, complete course work and attend course and university events and modules.

  17. DPhil • Application Eligibility • The part-time Dphil Programme considers applications from those who have already been awarded the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care. • Applications may also be considered from students with a Master's in a related subject. 

  18. DPhil • Level and demands • a first-class or an upper second class undergraduate degree (or equivalent international qualifications) in a relevant subject • an average of at least 70% across all components of the MSc in EBHC • prior interest in the area of research proposed

English Requirement • IELTS: overall score of 7.0 (with at least 7.0 in each of the four components) • TOEFL (internet-based): overall score of 110 with component scores of at least: Listening 22, Reading 24, Speaking 25, and Writing 24. • TOEFL (paper-based): overall score of 600 with a Test of Written English score of 5.5 • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): grade A • Cambridge Certificate for Proficiency in English (CPE): grade B • English Language GCSE, or O-level: grade B (for IGCSE, please see below) • International Baccalaureate Standard Level (SL): score of 5 in English (as Language A or B) • European Baccalaureate: score of 70% in English.
