Here are some of the most common types of pallet racking systems: Selective Pallet Racking This is the most common type of pallet racking system. It consists of upright frames, cross beams, and horizontal braces that are assembled to form rows of racks. This type of system allows for direct access to each pallet, making it easy to store and retrieve items. Double Deep Pallet Racking This type of racking system allows for two pallets to be stored behind each other in the same row. This system is ideal for warehouses that store large quantities of the same item, as it maximizes storage density. Drive-In Pallet Racking 1/2

  2. This system is designed for warehouses that have a high volume of inventory with a low number of SKUs. The system allows forklifts to drive into the racking system and pick up or drop off pallets, which are stored in lanes. This system maximizes storage density but can limit accessibility. Push Back Pallet Racking This type of racking system is similar to drive-in racking, but it allows for pallets to be stored on carts that are pushed back as new pallets are added. This allows for greater storage density and accessibility than drive-in racking. Pallet Flow Racking This system uses gravity to move pallets from one end of the rack to the other. Pallets are loaded onto one end of the rack and then move down rollers or wheels to the other end, where they can be picked up by a forklift. This system is ideal for warehouses with a high volume of inventory that needs to be rotated frequently. Cantilever Racking This system is designed for the storage of long, bulky items such as pipes, lumber, and steel. The racking system consists of vertical columns with horizontal arms extending from them, allowing items to be stored on the arms without interference from vertical supports. Choosing the right type of warehouse pallet racking system depends on several factors, including the type and volume of inventory you need to store, the accessibility and density requirements, and the available space in your warehouse. 2/2
