We are beginning to have success with these cuts in independent retails chains such as QFC, a division of Kroger, (85 stores in the NW) where they will be launching the Denver Cut, Chuck Eye Steak, CS Ribs and Ranch steaks later this month. Giant Eagle with CAB is presently looking to put the Denver Cut, Chuck Eye steaks and ribs in their case. Recent test with Meijer stores in Cincinnati show very positive customer approval yet a need to get a major packer on board for retail.     58. Producer Bottom Line: Chuck Increased Values $50 - $70 per head Because of added value to the chuck The round work is so important. The new cuts will add an additional $20 – $30 per head which brings the total value added dollars to producers to $70 – 100/head . Here’s the bottom line: Right now the value to the producer is over $1.4B/year from the new clod cuts and this can increase to 2B a year when the chuck roll and round cuts kick in. Because of added value to the chuck The round work is so important. The new cuts will add an additional $20 – $30 per head which brings the total value added dollars to producers to $70 – 100/head .
