Smart TVs require an Internet connection To achieve this you must: • Establish an Internet Service Provider (ISP) • Cable Internet offers the fastest speeds • ISP will install a Modem • Connect a Wireless Router to Modem • A wireless Router transmits a signal through out the house • Wireless signal is called WI-FI • Configure Wireless Router • Set Wireless Encryption Key - WPA2/PSK2 are strongest • Hide Service Set Identifier (SSID) to prevent hackers from connecting to your network

  5. Connect Smart TV to WI-FI signal • On-screen Instructions are given on your TV set

Applications for Wireless Technology in TVs • With a Smart TV you have the option to cancel your cable • Watch Video-On-Demand ~ Netflix • Listen to Commercial free Internet Radio ~ Pandora • View YouTube Videos • Purchase movies through iTunes • Surf the Web/ check emails • Play games / skype / social networking

  7. Mobile Remote App • Connect your Mobile Device to your TV via WI-FI • Control TV with greater ease • Surf the web using your Tablets touch screen keyboard • View information on your Mobile Device about the program you are watching

  8. Wireless TV • Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) • Uses similar High frequency as WI-FI • Broadcasts HDTV with approximately a 100 ft radius • Allows you to connect all external devices via Wireless signal

  9. Wireless TV • No Wires = No Mess • Easier and faster TV installation • Cleaner Look with only one power cord needed to attach to Smart TVs • External Devices, such as Blu-ray players, can be located away from the TV

  10. Why buy a Smart TV? • Smart TVs are user friendly and easy to use for consumers of all ages • Easy to set up WI-FI connection • Stream music, movies, videos, and web browsing all at your finger tips • WHDI allows TV to be installed on any wall without worrying about log cable or cord runs
