Other Notation • Union of two sets: • Means that you take two sets and combine all of their elements • Intersection of two sets: • Means that you only keep the elements that are in both sets of numbers
Example 1 • C = {6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21} • D = {x | x is a positive odd integer} • What is C ∩ D?
Example 2 • P = {5, 10, 15, 20} • Q = { 8, 10, 18, 20} • Find P U Q
