  2. OBJECTIVES • to promote broader analysis of agricultural investment opportunities for enhancing rural incomes and growth in southern Africa;

  3. OBJECTIVES (2) • to promote broader analysis of the impacts of agricultural development programs on the alleviation of poverty and food insecurity in southern Africa; and

  4. OBJECTIVES (3) • to build capacity in the region for carrying out such analyses through creation of a “community of practice” among participating researchers, policy makers and development managers.
