  1. MPV implementation in DSC Toshikazu Hayashi OLYMPUS CORPORATION 10.14.2003 OSS

  2. Current Status • Prototype was developed based on commercial product. • No hardware change was needed. • Implementation was very easy. Additional firmware size is less than 16kB. • MPV can manage multi-shot, panorama, QuickTime movie as well as regular photo.

  4. Our Next Step • Add MPV functionality on bundled software with DVD-R burning function. • Add Album Synchronization between DSC and Storage so DSC can be used as mobile viewer.

  5. Our Future • Minimal functionality of maneuvering digital image should be provided either with PC or without PC. • DSC then should create MPV file by itself and all the memories, mind, excitement and so on should be stored to storage directly.
