  1. Ideas To Find Research Paper Topics On that note, the following are some ideas you can implement you have your own “eureka” moment. 1. Read and gather some background information To find research paper topics, you have to do plenty of reading first. If your professor recommends some books, then you can derive an idea of what topic would be suitable to pursue. You can also read the books on your own. Browse through the books in your university library until you find something that catches your attention. Read as much as possible. At this stage, it’s alright to use search engines and sites for your primary research. They will provide you with sufficient information to figure out if you should go ahead with a specific topic. Get assignment for university 2. Start narrowing down your area of interest Once you’re done with your reading, you can proceed to narrow down your areas of interest. You can do this by selecting a topic you like, then delving deeper into it until you find something worth writing about. Once you've gathered a general idea of what to write about, you can again start narrowing your area even further. Make a list of all the things that intrigue you within your narrowed area of interest. 3. Create mind-maps to have clarity Take a blank paper. Write down your main idea in the centre of the paper and draw a circle around it. Add a line extending from the main idea, then add another circle. In that circle, put something linked with the main idea that you find intriguing. Keep drawing circles and add ideas. You may even add ideas on to secondary circles rather than the main one. You can keep extending the main idea this way. In fact, it’s a novel idea to work with the idea that continues to branch off the main one if you find it to be interesting enough. 4. Try looking at your topic from a unique angle If you’re in high school or you’re an undergraduate, there’s not much emphasis on originality. However, when you’re in college or university, your topic should have an original angle to it. It should be something that hasn't been explored often by someone else. So, you need to be careful when picking out your research topic. You should have an idea of what has already been talked about as you research which will allow you to choose something relatively authentic. With these ideas, you will definitely find a research paper topic which will stand out.
