5. The Common Core State Standards Produced:
College and Career Readiness Standards
K-12 Standards in Mathematics & English Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Speaking, & Listening)
Including: Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects, 6-12
The Standards define the knowledge and skills students should have within their K-12 education careers so that they will graduate from high school able to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing academic college courses and in workforce training programs.
