Globalization Toms are made from a company based in Santa Monica, California. Toms are currently manufactured in Argentina, China and Ethiopia. Toms are sold world wide. You can buy a pair of Toms at any mall & just about any shoe store. The company was first founded in 2006. When Toms sells a pair of shoes, Friends of Toms donates a pair to a person in need.
Customization • Toms are a canvas or cotton fabric shoes with a rubber sole for the bottom. Toms are a very comfortable shoe and have been worn for hundreds of years worn by Argentine farmers. Toms also come in many styles including a Wrap Boot, Stitchouts, Cordones, and Botas. Any new type of style is shared all around the world with all the other Toms.
Product adaptation • Toms has came very far with their products since they first started out in the year 2006. First they just had their basic boat shoe in a few simple colors such as black, blue, white, gray and red. They then came out with more colors and designs. Later on they designed a few more styles such as flats, boots and sneakers. They also added fur to the inside of some shoes.
Promotion Adaptations • Toms sells their products to all different countries around the world so in order to promote their product they make advertisements in different languages for the different countries. They also give a free pair of Toms to kids in Africa that do not have or cant afford a pair of shoes, for every pair of Toms that are bought. Therefore that helps get their product out there.
