SPOT UPDATE • Letter of Agreement Signed 12/98 • 6,000 HDTs (700,000 scenes) transferred to EDC FY00 - FY01 • SPOT 1-3 Transcription System Operational at EDC 10/00 • SPOT 1-3 Transcription Process Completed 01/02 • Total SPOT Scenes “Harvested” = 943,759 • SPOT 1-3 Production System Operational 03/02 • USGS Planned to Distribute to U.S. Government and Affiliated Users • SPOT IMAGE Negotiated an Agreement with Digital Globe for Distribution Rights to DoD and USDA • USGS is evaluating SPOT Distribution

WIDE BAND VIDEO TAPE UPDATE • Rescue Landsat 1-3 MSS Data From 1972 - 1979 • 22,037 Wide Band Tapes Rescued • NASA Seed Money Kick Started Project in FY1998 • Operational April of 1999 • Conversion Stats: • 22,037 Tapes Processed • 203,416 Scenes Retrieved • 13,230 New Scenes • All successfully rescued MSS scenes are searchable,viewable and orderable through Earth Explorer As of 5/01/02
