October 13, 2009 Graduate school registration meeting
Graduate School Registration schedule • Nov. 5, 6, and 7 (up to 12 noon only) • Venue: Social Sciences Room 284
Academic advisement Students are told which courses to enlist in Concerns and reminders: • All advisements and re-advisements should be inputted to AISIS. If not there will be nothing for students to enlist in during registration • Click “Save” on AISIS within 30 minutes or advised course will be lost
Academic advisement • Ensure that advised courses do not have conflicting schedules. • Example: student advised to take LLL 111 and LLL 112 but both are scheduled TTh 1030-12. • Ensure that advised courses match courses offered. • Example: Students is advised “Psy” 222. but course offered is “PSYCH” 222
Course offerings Service departments supply advised classes. Concerns and reminders: Please ensure that: • Courses advised are offered and reflected on AISIS. Otherwise students will not be able to enlist. • Courses offered have adequate slots to accommodate those advised.
Enlistment Students sign up for their classes Concerns and reminders: • Pre-enlisted students will not be allowed to switch classes during registration. They may do so during the load revision period.
Others Concerns and reminders Completion of registration • Students who do not complete the registration process will not be on the official class list. They should not be allowed to take class requirements and exams or be given grades.
Others Enlistment of non-degree students • Many non-degree students take classes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Health Sciences. • Again please ensure that: • courses you advise are actually offered and have enough slots for non-degree students. • advised classes do not conflict • classes are not tagged to prevent non-degree students from enlisting
