  1. Tips for dealing with a writing task • 1. Find ways to assess your performance: • 1) compare it with the model (analyze and revise) • 2) find a partner to cross-check • 2. Assess your performance in several aspects: • 1) overall structure (beginning, ending, the order of information presented, the overall structure) • 2) sentence structure / vocabulary • 3) a full use of what has been dealt with in the tasks • 3. Relate it to everyday events.

  2. Tips of the Tips 1. Make good use of the listening and reading input in the course as models for your speaking and writing work. You can develop all sorts of activities based on these models. Even the simple reproduction can bring you great benefit. 2. Always analyze your mistakes. Explore exactly what goes wrong and work on it. 3. Use a variety of resources to deal with your inquiries before you surrender them to your tutor. The problem-solving process proves to be more valuable than getting the answers -- you learn how to learn. 4. Do - summarize - review

Progress report cards • 1) Due date: October 28 • 2) Remember to staple the sheets and write your name on the front page. • 3. If you plan to attend the next tutorial, you need to complete all the tasks of Unit Five and Six in English in Daily Life.
