Vision • Development of new concepts, methods and best practices in the areas of: • Classification issues; • Output measures; • Price indices. • Maintenance and improvement of knowledge base as well as dissemination of results should be carried out by the UN Statistical Division and UN Statistical Commission.

  6. Price Index Thesaurus • Price methods: • Direct use of prices of repeated services; • Contract pricing; • Model pricing; • Unit values; • Component pricing; • Percentage fees; • Pricing based on working time.

  7. Price Index Thesaurus (2) • Data type in the Survey: • Percentages fees and related value; • List prices; • Input prices; • Real transaction prices; • Revenues and amount sold; • Expert estimate.

Country Reports and Scorecards • Progress report on recent development on turnover and prices. • Level of alignment of turnover/output statistics and price indices for purpose of deflation. • Scoreboard have been established for six industries in 22 countries. • Half of the industry-level turnovers were or about to be aligned with its relevant price indices.
