ANTI FLAGS VIEW ON THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY • Anti Flag is a political punk band from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania that is a band for the people. They believe that we are not people of flags, color, or even sexual orientation but just people of the world. • They stand against racism, sexism, and homophobia. • They show that stance on the LGBTQ community in there song the right to choose. I believe that the song is important because it shows that they believe that people should not cast other people out just for there sexual preference. • I believe this is a positive because it shows that the band believes in justice and equality for all. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OhIh1-BU14
RISE AGAINST VIEW ON THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY • The band RISE AGAINST is a punk band from Chicago Illinois. The band believes in equality for all humanity. • The band also believes that the LGBTQ community should have all the same rights as the rest of society. Also that it is unjustified to bully people in the LGBTQ community just because of their sexual preference. I think that the best indication of this is from the bands song called make it stop(Septembers children) which is about the LGBTQ teens that committed suicide in 2010 during the month of September. The song stays that society has no right to judge or discriminate the LGBT community. • I think that this is a positive change because it shows that some punk rock bands believe that equality for everyone • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP4clbHc4Xg
