  3. Developing pattern based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar G has pegged an ABC pattern using her choice of coloured circles creating a new caterpillar E has created her own patterns using pens. She could explain the patterning using ABBBABBB and AAABBAAABB. This was a child initiated activity following a short whole class input. J has created a 3 colour pattern using paper chains.
