199 steps By Keira Stewart, Mia Tarnowski and Maya Hemingway
As I stand at the top of the 199 steps that I have just climbed, My eyes wander back I realise just how many steps there really are.
As the fire splitting sun gleamed down at my feet I noticed how dusty and dirty the steps really were, They’d been like that for 200 years. I realise they would never be like clean again due to the amount of people who trod on them daily.
I can smell the salty sea from the top of the steps, It was spectacular! I realise the st mary’s church bell had just struck behind me.
The people behind me ran up the steps, I wondered what was going on, The bell rang again, I realised the noise was treacherous it must have been broken.
