  2. Create Synergies among Various Schemes Developed for Implementation of Secondary Education RMSA, ITC@School, IEDSS, Strengthing of Hostel Facilities, Vocationalization of Higher Secondary Education

  3. The Vision • To Provide a Secondary School within a distance of 5 Kms and higher Secondary School 7-10 KMs • Ensure Universal access of Secondary education by 2017 and Universal retention by 2020, • To Provide access to secondary education with special reference to economically weaker sections of the society , the educationally backward ,the girls, children with Disabilities and other marginalized categories like SC, ST,OBC & Minorities.

National Goals • To ensure that All Secondary Schools have physical facilities, Staff and Supplies at least as per prescribed standards, • To improve access to secondary schooling to all young persons according to norms(5kms for sec schools &7-10 kms for higher sec. Schools), • Safe transport /residential facilities depending upon local area,

National Goals • To ensure that no child is deprived of secondary education of satisfactory quality due to gender, disability or other barrier, • To improve quality of secondary education resulting in enhanced learning, • To ensure that all students pursuing secondary education receive education of good quality,

  7. Institutional Arrangement for Implementation • Policies & Programes For Development, • Norms and Financial Parameters For Management, • Convergent Approach with other Institutions on Planning and Management

  8. Proposed Interventions In the XIIth Plan For the Development of Sec. Edu. • Specific Interventions for expansion and Quality Improvement as Proposed in the XIth Plan, • Action Programmes for focus groups- • Community mobilization & sensitization, • Promotion of Participation in planning & management of school affaires,

Action Programmes for focus groups • Distribution of Incentives like uniform,sholarship,etc, • Deployment of more female teachers, • Residential scheme for women teachers, • Provision of girls hostels in rural & difficult areas, • Ensuring special effort to help girls & children with disabilities gain access to secondary schools
