The riders Kev Marshall Motor Vehicle Lecturer Kev has worked as a mechanic on HGV’s, cars and bikes and for the last few years as a Motor Vehicle lecturer at Tameside College. He has a reputation for rough and ready mechanics but he’s the man everybody would want to be stuck in the desert with! No stranger to long road trips last year completing a trip to the Sahara desert on sportsbikes and the year before undertaking a massive 3000km in 4 days on a moped! Ed White Event Management Consultant Ed has worked around the motorsports industry for many years running several very successful events. His ability to think outside the box to achieve goals is second to none and a must on any adventure being planned. Ed is also no stranger to long road trips covering many journeys into Europe every year and he too was part of the team that completed the breath taking 10 day trip from the UK to the Sahara.
The reason we do what we do As a leading children’s medical research charity they are dedicated to funding and championing pioneering research into a range of conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be. Since 1991, they have committed over £26 million into pioneering research projects across a wide spectrum of medical conditions including childhood cancers, cerebral palsy, premature birth and spina bifida. In total, they have funded 265 research projects in more than 80 hospitals and universities across the UK. Through the research they fund, they aim to improve the quality of life for children and families affected by serious illness or disability today, whilst seeking ways to better diagnose, treat and prevent these conditions in the future.
