ISSUES • COST • In 2015 1,154,510,336 is allocated for the HEALTH CARE SERVICE CORPS • Will add $1 trillion to the federal deficit over the next two decades • Will increase taxes by over $1.8 trillion over the next two decades • The IRS has issued 159 pages of new tax laws
National Health Care Workforce Commission • Commission can only make recommendations • All 15 members have been appointed however the commission is powerless because Congress has not yet approved funding • Shortage of Physicians and Innovative Care • “40% of physicians are leaving practice due to the punitive regulations under Obamacare” • “. . .laws tax on medical devices will have adverse affects on innovation that will result in the loss of 1 million years of life annually” • U.S. low literacy is not addressed
