Could wish for a Happily-Ever-After here • But Asa continued trying to go “his” own way • angry with Hanani’s rebuke • Imprisoned the prophet • afflicted people with cruelties • Asa himself afflicted with a severe disease • still did not seek the Lord • sought his help from physicians • There’s no good end to following self

  6. When do you “need” the Lord? • Just when you’re getting started? • When the enemy is at the door • In times of peace? • In times of threat? • In times of growth? • In times of trial?
