  1. 6) Human Rights Awareness week is taking place from December 6th through the 10th. IJM will be helping to put this event on in collaboration with Pastor Cheeks and the Regent office of community life. Tentative Schedule Monday: Human Rights Organizational Fair in RH Lobby. - Movie Screening of Seoul Train. Tuesday: Panel discussion over lunch. “How does oppression breed/continue the cycle of terrorism?” Wednesday: Human trafficking program with lunch put on by the International Law society. Thursday: Poetry Slam in the Ordinary. Friday: Prayer vigil in the Lib. Aud. This is just a basic inside look at what is being planned for that week. All information and details regarding these events are forthcoming. Sign-up sheets will go out via email.   16. D.C SMS WALK The D.C Stop Modern Day Slavery Walk is on Saturday Oct. 22th beginning at 9am and ending around 2pm. If you have not signed up and paid yet please do so. We are currently working on the lodging and transportation. IJM-Regent

  17. ACTION TEAMS Events: This team will help Beth Seremet with planning events. This may include reserving rooms, helping with administrative forms, and various other administrative duties. Public Relations: Ran by Victoria Thompson, this team will create flyers, make facebook events, tweet on IJM’s twitter, and other different social media outlets. Education: This team will research different issues involving injustice and help Jen Wakefield with educating others and spreading awareness on campus and in the community. Volunteers: This team will be in charge or recruiting volunteers, keeping a spreadsheet of volunteers and organizing the volunteer duties at different events. Nicole Tutrani is the action team leader.
