As can be expected May is the peak month…and then conditions climatologically become less favorable as we get into the summer months.
Craven and Pitt counties have had the most 1 inch hail + reports during the past 19 years. There could be several reasons for these results…with obvious ones being population/verification, as well as location (inland vs. coastal).
