Subscriber Database (SDB) and Web Access To: DCIT AOC WG From: Data Comm Production Sub-Team Date: 3/13/13
Agenda • Subscriber Database Current Implementation • Subscriber Database Data Comm Implementation • SDB and the ICAO Flight Plan • AOC/CSP SDB access
Subscriber Database (SDB) current Terminal Safety & Operations manages PDC eligibility SDB Current Operation Two database tables on TDLS, AOC and GA AOC database contains: Three letter identifier of the airline Airports the airline can receive a PDC ADNS Address of airline GA database contains: Tail number of participating General Aviation, bizjets, etc, airplanes ADNS address of CSP providing the PDC service CSP emails updates to GA database to IFCET Terminal Safety & Operations emails updates to AOC database to IFCET
SDB (Data Comm Release) Terminal Safety & Operations manages PDC eligibility TDLS Data Comm Release Operation Two database tables on TDLS, AOC and GA AOCdatabase contains: Three letter identifier of the airline Airports the airline can receive a PDC (or “ALL”) ADNS Address of airline GA database contains: Tail number of participating General Aviation, bizjets, etc, airplanes ADNS address of CSP providing the PDC service Both tables contain: Select type of clearance preference (FANS, PDC, Voice) Type of Dispatch Copy: CC of Initial Clearance only CC of Initial Clearance and Revisions CC of Revisions only None Gate Request Start Date End Date Lock Out Information
SDB - Purpose • Purpose of Subscriber Database • Provides ADNS address for PDC, GREQ, DCC • States when a DCC is to be sent • Initial Clearance only, Initial and Revised Clearance, etc • Provides clearance type preferences • If preference is not stated in the ICAO flight plan • If preference stated in the ICAO flight plan is invalid • Specifies the location and aircraft eligible to receive a PDC • ATO Safety confirms PDC eligibility at each site • Provides a method to deny PDC eligibility (Lock) • ATO Safety determines if PDC eligibility should be denied • Eligibility can be denied by site, tail number, flight id, ADNS address, etc
SDB and ICAO FP • ICAO Flight Plan Content • Optionally specifies the clearance type (DCL/PDC/Both) • Does not provide the address for the Dispatch message, Gate ID Request message or a PDC. • Hierarchy for Information from ICAO FP and SDB • ICAO FP will take precedence over Web Access. ICAO FP is checked for Clearance Type first • IF Clearance preference is available in FP • Types of Dispatch Copies (CC) are retrieved from the SDB • ADNS address for CC is retrieved from the SDB • No clearance preference available • Clearance preference is retrieved from the SDB • Types of Courtesy Copies are retrieved from the SDB • ADNS address for CC is retrieved from the SDB • Voice clearance is issued if the clearance type (DCL, PDC) is NOT specified in the ICAO flight plan or SDB
SDB Web Access Web Access provides a secure method to access the SDB AOC/CSP directly manipulates their subscriber data Date access is restricted by AOC/CSP logon identity AOC may only need to access SDB for initial set up CSP/AOC cannot specify PDC for an ineligible site Concept of Operation CSP/AOC logs in to Web Access SDB CSP/AOC creates/modifies/deletes records to specify: Clearance type preference(s) Dispatch message option(s) Gate Request preference ADNS address CSP/AOC accesses SDB only when changes are required SDB User Guide Initially, no intent to create a User Guide User Guide most likely available after ver 12 release
