How a dash wrap and a dash kit differ? A dash wrap is simply a sheet of uncut vinyl film available in the same variety of colors and finishes just like the pre-cut dash kits. Some people prefer to wrap their dash as it provides coverage of areas that aren’t included in dash trim kits or dealer-installed dash kits. 3. What Is The Difference Between A Flat And Molded Dash Kit? Molded dash kits are pre-formed at the factory for fitting the various shapes and contours of your dash. These pieces are three-dimensional and molded around the corners, edges and sides. Flat dash kits arrive as flat pieces and are flexible when warmed to curve to the shape of the dash, but only in a single direction. Flat kits lend themselves mainly to the front-facing dash  with generally flatter surfaces. The application of both kits is similar i.e. with adhesive backing.

4. Which Type of Dash Kit Is Easier to Install? Can You Remove And Reapply Dash Kits? Usually, both flat and molded dash kits are applied in a similar way. Each of them have a 3M adhesive backing and adhere to the existing dash and interior surface.  However, the flat dash kit requires a little more time as there are generally more pieces! No, there is no dash kit that can be removed and reapplied successfully!
