  2.       In India, business analytics is really a booming industry, and this has  become possible for the recent rise of big data. Day by day companies are  amalgamating more statistical data than ever and utilizing them to interpret  many things about the company, and all with the help of business analytics.  So, you can see that this is the high time to ​learn business analytics​​ and  shine in your career.          Being associated with a leading ​business analytics training institute in  Kolkata​​,  I have come across various queries, comments and emails  through which I have come to know that there are some myths about  career in business analytics in people’s mind. That’s why I am here today.  If you go through this article, you will come to know about some common  myths about business analytics and the truth behind them.  

  3.           Engineering degree is needed for starting a career in business  analytics      The truth is that it is not mandatory. You should have the capability to think  structurally and perform back of the envelope calculations. However,  companies prefer quantitative background of the candidates. But  quantitative background does not only come from engineering degree.  Economics, statistics, mathematics, physics or MBA with graduation in  these fields are equally useful.               Analytics is all about working with large datasets      In reality, most of the times the team of business analysts in a company  work on particular problems that may or may not involve large datasets.  The requirement of the role is to be capable of putting structure across  unstructured issues and using numbers to understand the business and the  changes needed in strategy.
